Sickle Park Upgrades to Boost the Gold Coast’s North Shore

Construction of Hope Island’s Sickle Park has commenced with civil works set to see upgrades over a 6 month period as the park undergoes a stunning transformation.

Brisbane-based Keylin has embarked on upgrading additional features to Sickle Park, investing upwards of $1.6 million towards the new upgrades.

These upgrades will span across six months throughout 2021 and will take place over three stages collectively, with Keylin’s and the Gold Coast City Council’s plans to set to see a $2.6 million investment to the Hope Island area.

Upgrades to the park are set to include new playgrounds for children and families, upgraded barbeque facilities, seats with views of the canal and terraces as well as a new tree planting site.

Additionally, Keylin’s development plans will also include more public parking spaces, shelters for picnic areas and much-needed road and storm water drainage upgrades within the park.

With this, plans for Sickle Park are also set to include an additional natural ampitheatre.

Keylin is a major contributor to transforming the local infrastructure, paying almost $4 million in council infrastructure charges which includes the $1.6 million Sickle Park upgrade.

Keylin is also behind the nearby $650 million Serenity 4212 project as well as Park Cove Residences, located adjacent to the iconic Sickle Park.

Residents and locals will be able to access the new and improved Sickle Park, as well as a range of other amenities including the stunning golf courses available and glistening waterways, giving the community the luxury and laidback lifestyle intended for the area.

The new profile of development and projects underway, such as Sickle Park, has undeniably supported the growth demand in Hope Island, as it transitions into the famed Gold Coast North Shore.

Construction on the park is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2021.
